Accessibility statement

Everyone should be able to write a letter to their future self.

§ IOur commitment

Write Self aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We're a small team and we take this seriously — if something doesn't work for you, we want to know.

§ IIWhat we've done
  • Semantic HTML throughout — headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels
  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
  • Skip-to-content link on every page
  • Colour contrast ratios that meet WCAG AA on all text
  • Form inputs with visible labels and focus indicators
  • Decorative elements marked with aria-hidden
  • No content that flashes or auto-plays
  • Readable font sizes with generous line spacing
§ IIIKnown limitations
  • The letter editor uses Tiptap, a rich-text editor. While it supports keyboard navigation, some screen reader interactions may be limited. We're working on improving this.
  • The Postmark SVG component uses curved text that may not be read by all screen readers — it's marked as decorative (aria-hidden).
§ IVFeedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us at hello@write-self.org. Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened — we'll fix it or find a workaround.
