- How far in the future can I schedule a letter?
- Six months minimum, five years maximum at launch. We may extend to 10 years once we have a track record.
- Can you send to international addresses?
- Yes — Stannp ships internationally. UK is the launch focus; international adds £4-6 in postage depending on country. We charge that at checkout.
- How long can my letter be?
- Up to 25 A4 pages — but we recommend keeping it under three pages. The best future-self letters are short and surprising.
- Can I include a photo?
- Premium tier only at launch. Single Letter is text only.
- Can I read it before it sends?
- Yes — your dashboard shows your saved letters. You can edit any letter up to 24 hours before its delivery date.
- What if I move?
- Update your delivery address from your dashboard up to 24 hours before delivery. After that the print job is locked.
- Can I send a letter to someone else?
- The Gift Letter tier is a gift card — the recipient writes their own letter to themselves. We don't send letters between people; that's a different product.
- Refunds?
- Full refund up to 24 hours before delivery. After that, the letter has been printed and posted.
- Do you read my letter?
- No. Letters are encrypted at rest. We can technically decrypt and read before mailing, but we don't. See /security for the full threat model.
- What if you go away in six months?
- Stannp UK holds the print schedule from the moment you pay. If write-self.org disappears, your letter still mails on the day you chose.
- Is the writing handwritten or typed?
- You type it. We print it. The Premium tier offers a handwriting-style font for a more personal feel.
- What paper do you use?
- Standard tier: 100gsm white. Premium tier: 120gsm cream. Both A4.
- Postage class?
- Standard: UK 2nd class. Premium: UK 1st class. International: tracked airmail equivalent.
- Is this VAT-able?
- Prices are inclusive. We're under the UK VAT threshold today, so no VAT charged.
- Can I write multiple letters at once?
- Yes. The Annual Subscription gives you one per year for as long as you stay subscribed; the Monthly Encouragement gives you one per month. Or you can pay for individual letters one at a time.
