Write Self

Encouraging letter after bad news

A letter to the version of you who just heard.

§ IWhat we do

Write Self prints your letter on heavy paper, seals it in an envelope, and posts it back to you on the date you choose — anywhere from six months from now to five years from now. Most people pick one year.

We don't send emails. We don't push notifications. We don't keep your letter on a screen. The only place your letter exists, after you write it, is encrypted in a database — and then, on the morning you chose, in your hand.

§ IIPrompts to start
  1. 01What does today-you most need to hear after bad news?
  2. 02What's true today that the harder day will try to make you forget?
  3. 03What does today-you know that you want future-you to remember?
  4. 04Who do you need to be on that day, and what do you need to be reminded of?
§ IIIWrite yours
